I just thought since no one has posted yet, I'd kinda get it started with how Blackwell got his name. My wife worked for some people, real nice couple as a babysitter. The couple had a large Black Lab who loved this great big Yellow Lab and so......big litter of dogs. One morning, it was raining hard and I had just gotten my wife to work, and as we came on porch, we noticed the Mother Black Lab was missing from her usual place at the fenced in "birthing box" and when we looked further all the 8 puppies were missing. Since my wife was so upset, I took time to look for them. So to make a very long...story short, I found the dogs in hole under the corner of the woodshed. The mother dog had dug down and then dropped those puppies on top of each other and then climbed in to. Because it was raining go hard, the hole was filling up and mud was everywhere. I reached down and pulled out all. The last one was fat and so cute, but so covered with mud, crying like crazy, hence, we received this pup as a gift for the reward of finding the dogs before all were lost. And he is BLACK BLACK so in a well so to speak==Blackwell.
And he has been a Great Dog.And does the 'singing' for the Yorkie. |
