Our MissyJ was a give away. She was 6 years old and her owner had to move away and couldn't take her with her. Lots of problems, I guess forced this. The Lady who took her to keep her from going to the Shelter, knew we wanted a small dog and we were retired couple who could take care of her. She asked us if we would like to see her and brought her over. MissyJ missed her owner so much that she was really withdrawn and had a bad time with seperation. We took her and for 6 months, we worked and worked walking, holding, talking, loving. Fianally she started to come to us and now is our constant companion. She dances and smiles,
and everyone thinks we have had her since she was a puppy, don't I wish we had gotten her then. But she is beautiful now, and well behaved. Thats how she got her name by the way," Miss you Joy." Joy was her first owners name. |

Been reading your posts and wanted to say that you named that dog just right. How nice to remember the first owner. My dog, Maxi is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her. Its too bad what happened but I know your dog has really gotten the best out of the deal with folks like you. Love to read this post. I think I will try right a story about this and might make a good story for kids, that is if I can put a few good lines in it. Well we will see. bye for now. |
