My dog is a bulldog. And when we got Bowie I had a white rat with a long tail, hence her name was Big Tail. The children looked at the bull dog and loved her so much. They would hug her and and say bow-bow
and each called her that. Since it as easy to say we went ahead and called her Bowie. Although they call it like Bow-Bow. So thats not funny name but it works for us. Big Tail and Bowie are really good friends and
love the children. As the children grow I'm sure that will always be their
Bow-bow Bowie. The rat is called by the kids, Bow-bow's tail. Well, thats
how it all came about at our house. |

Lonesomedove, your kids sound like really great fun. Bet that Bull dog
gets lots of love. And a White RAT...Wooo that would drive my black
Lab crazy. Blackwell loves to play and that rat would get a run for its
life, and with a long tail, it might be short by the time Blackwell got through playing with him. Are they hard to take care of? Have to be gone
for Christmas but will check back in next month and if you care to leave
a post here. See you. |

Your kids must be really special. They sound like they love their pets and its great that you let them name them. My Missy J loves other dogs and was thinking about looking for a friend for her. May be a white rat would be a good one to think about. |

and the whole family just loved playing with him. My little Chewey says

Well lonesomedove, sounds like your family is really big. And sounds like
they are real cute. My neices sound like your family with how they name pets. Their dogs are vanilla and peaches. yeah these are crocker spaniels and they are really cute. Named after ice cream . Reddog says they don't taste like ice cream, when they come over. Reddog gets a
rolling and always they chew on reddog's ears. |

With you from Texas I can see your family having old time ice cream
socials after evening church. Course don't know if that is true,
But with some of our family in Texas that is the way it is. Those little
crocker spaniels sound cute and I bet they are bundles of fun for
reddog.Missy J would like reddog, she doesn't chew on ears, but does
lick noses. |
