I read an article in the news from Barangay Lapasan in the Philippines, that happened in Feb 2007, about a pet who was a "Pit Bull" breed. The children who lived in Fronteras holdhold referred to their dog as "KUYA" which means, 'big brother' and he certainly proved it on the day that he jumped in front of his owner and children to protect them from a COBRA SNAKE that had came into their home. The dog took the snake bites and died in the effort but saved the family. It also showed a picture of pet after the incident.
With all the bad news we hear about this breed....It is good to know they do love their owners who love them and treat them with love. |

This is such a sad story but it is so inspiring for the this PIT BULL breed. I've heard so much bad that it is good to read something good. A Dog's LOVE is really something, I know Ginger has such a loyal attitude for me. |

I agree with you happyfeet. When I read the post of the Pit Bull
I cried. But then I'm very sentimental person and cry for sad things.
But as a dog lover I felt so sad for the family. But it really says a lot
for the breed and how it is taken care and treated. |
