Hi Everyone,

Came across this and thought I would share.

1. Forgive others quickly, grudges are a waste of time
When you forget to feed your dog he often forgets and forgives.
When you punish him a little harshly he still comes to you to get petted.
Your dog is the last one to blame you and hold a grudge.
Dogs know that a simple touch from someone you love can make a situation better.
Hug your family and friends.
Don't let minor problems become big ones.
Nourish your relationships with family members and forgive the fact that they nor you are perfect Pet them too.

2. Always get your beauty rest
Dogs know all about beauty sleep since they do it so often.
Dogs can sleep up to 20 hours a day.
We need to sleep at least 7-10 hours for most of us.
Your dog may sleep in short naps.
Short naps during the day can be refreshing.

3. You are never to old for a little fun in your life
A dog wants you to throw the Frisbees even when he is 16 years old ( 112 in human years).
Often humans schedules leave little time for play so they can easily forget how much fun it was to throw the Frisbee.
When you play with your dog he bonds with you.
You bond with family when you play and have fun with them.

4. The best toys for dogs are the free ones
Your dog spends more time playing with the empty toilet paper roll then he does the $5 squeaky toy you bought last week because you thought he would love it.
Dogs can spend a lot of time chasing their tails so why do they need toys? (only kidding)
Now you know why your kids beat on the pots and pans and play with empty boxes rather than the $15 drum player you purchased at the mall.

5. Jealousy is a time waster
Prepare your pet for the arrival of a baby. It helps our four legged friends prepare by gradually presenting sounds and smells that will accompany the precious new arrival.
There are books and Cds to help with this.
Also discuss this issue with yout Vet and your OBGYN Doctor.
Humans can become jealous of new arrivals too maybe we need a cd for them!
Be sure to give your husband attention during this time.
Try an allegate play time with you dog to reinforce obedience training so he doesn't waste time being jealous. Since dogs are so forgiving and understanding we should be the same.
Listen to the lesson your dog may be teaching you. Your everyday life can be improved by the right pet as well as the right state of mind. Love your family, keep them close grow your circle of friends and love your life. It's the only chance you will have as we go this way only once. If you can, share your life with a dog.

Laughing Thanks for this post. When you read these posts you see the
reason that this site is good to visit. Petskers that is great to read
and the post is correct with the playing and having fun with your pet.
Even though both blackwell and I are getting older, we still have a
lot of fun together and the best toy ever was a frisbee. But some
pieces we have are a bit different, like a pie pan. A beatup old one that blackwell knows well. It was the first one we gave blackwell food in.
Even though we replaced it, at least we thought we did, blackwell drags
this one out. It was in the trash, and then it was back in the yard. It
makes a noise when it hits the sidewalk and blackwell loves it. So
buy a pie plate, metal, or get one from goodwill store. Best toy ever.
Like to stay longer but its getting late. See you guys tomarrow when
I have more time.

Cool Razz Hey bigdog, is this what you would call "recyling". Boy
Blackwell is doing his part for the environment. And just think how
many great pet lovers are giong to get those pie plates from
Marie Calendars....Ha and thanks to you, they will make the money
for the toy pie plates and you just get nothing...Just kidding. But
it is a great idea as reddog might get up now and then and like to
paw it to death on the porch. Well, bigdog see ya and all you others
around.
